e-Safety

Our school E-Safety policy is found under 'Safeguarding 2024' for the most up-to-date information.
Did you know that there are over 2 million apps available to download in both Google Play and Apple's App Store?  While this choice is fantastic, it is also a potential minefield, particularly with regards to eSafety.  ParentZone have produced a guide on the latest and most popular apps that are popular with children of a primary age, which you can access below.
The range of content on Youtube can be a fantastic educational tool.  However, part of the problem with it is the comments, video links and adverts that can be inappropriate depending on age.  By using 'ViewPure', you can watch the videos without any of this.  Use the link below to check it out.
In an increasingly technological world, never has it been more important to not only protect our children from online dangers, but to also educate them about online conduct so that the internet remains a positive tool for both learning and entertainment.  We take the prevalent issue of e-Safety very seriously at our school, completing a block of themed lessons per year group each half term. It is important we empower our students to be confident and responsible digital citizens. To do this our Digital Leaders play an important part to promoting e-Safety by supporting lessons, producing work and running workshops throughout the year. Please see below for our school e-Safety policy, as well as a link to CEOP in conjunction with the police for how to keep children safe online.
